Hi guys,
another day at the beach is coming to an end.
Today we got up early again and after a cup of tea to wake up, we drove towards Caloundra.
Yesterday evening Ann-Estelle discovered a surf shop, which was already closed at that time, but today we visited it. The store had some really cool stuff, and since my swim trunks, which I unfortunately bought specifically for Australia, turned out to be pretty shitty, I bought a new one there. Having a good pair of swim trunks seems to be as important here in Australia as having a good pair of jeans in Germany! 😅
Ann-Estelle also found something, so we left the store well-prepared for the Australian summer.
Next stop was the beach in the neighboring town of Mooloolaba. There we found a beautiful swimming beach with a great promenade where we could relax for a few hours.
A little more tanned, but also covered in sand, we made our way back to Caloundra, where we could take a shower for free, just like the last few days. Since our campsite was already in that direction, it made sense to take advantage of the opportunity for a free shower again today! 😊
On the way to the campsite, we made a quick stop at the "Bottle-O", the store where you can buy alcohol in Australia, and bought a bottle of New Zealand white wine. Makes sense, right, when you're so close to the source? 😅
We enjoyed our dinner with a delightful white wine while watching the sunset, and now we're about to go to bed! Tomorrow we will continue further north to the Sunshine Coast.
Greetings from Caloundra, Australia! 🇦🇺
Your Tim! 😊
