This week was really good weather. It was warm, but not so warm that the snow melted and the sun was shining all day. It really felt like summer (Melanie even walked around one day in shorts (and rubber boots) and apparently that's normal here ;). This week was busy....I think we already have over 160 lambs now? and you're busy from morning till evening. Once you've fed and watered all the animals, you can start all over again because the first ones are already thirsty or hungry again. We also have a few lambs that we feed with a bottle because the mothers don't have enough milk for everyone. They get a bottle every 4 hours and we have to milk a few sheep every day who have enough milk. (I've never milked a sheep, I always hold them tight and some sheep really don't like to be milked).

Yesterday I was allowed to feed the cows alone with the tractor for the first time :D That was fun. There is always loud country music playing in the tractor and then I can drive through the meadows there :) Normally we always leave the door open for the cows as long as we feed them (then you don't have to get in and out so often) and until now no cow wanted to run away. No, they only do that of course when you're feeding alone for the first time....but nothing happened - I jumped out of the tractor and could run faster than the cow ;)

Yes, there isn't much news. When I'm not feeding, mucking out, checking water or holding wild sheep, I sit with the dogs, lambs or calves and sunbathe ;) but I didn't really have time for that in the last 2 days, because 10 sheep lambed on both days (sometimes 3 at the same time and then you didn't know exactly which lamb belongs to which sheep and the sheep didn't know either) and then we didn't have any free boxes anymore and had to build a few makeshift ones.
