Surfing - a dream

The Playa de Tamarindo is known for its good waves and we also tried surfing. Since renting the surfboards alone costs 10 dollars, we decided to skip hiring a surf instructor. After a few failed attempts, we got some tips from a really nice and probably quite wealthy Californian. He was just looking for a new weekend house.

The waves were not high on the first day, so it was easy for us and after a few tries, we were able to stand on the boards, even if only briefly.
