After less than a day in Medellin, I continued on to Guatape. The region is difficult to describe, it's best to just look at the incredibly beautiful photos. ;)
As beautiful as the pictures are, in reality it's even more beautiful. The village of Guatape enchants everyone with its colorful houses in every imaginable color. The surrounding reservoir invites you to stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, or taking a boat tour. I only planned to stay here for one night, so I went on a hike to La Piedra. After exactly 740 steps, I reached the top and could take in the whole area from up there. I was relieved to have made it up there safely, as the steps didn't look very trustworthy to me.
The next day, I strolled through the village and tried the specialty of the region before heading back to Medellin. Thankfully, I was spared beans and rice this time and only got beans :) with sausages, fried egg, avocado, corn tortilla, and ground meat.
