1 week in Japan

បោះពុម្ពផ្សាយ: 11.09.2016

After one week in Japan, my impression is still quite mixed. I believe it is almost impossible to get by here without mastering the language. This became especially apparent when we were in Kamakura and Enoshima with Yo, a Japanese friend of ours. There we could visit, among other things, a huge Buddha statue and a shrine. From the island, we even had a view of Mt. Fuji. Everything was much more relaxed and without Yo, we would have never been able to send a package in our lives!
What else happened?
We experienced some pretty cool things. Among other things, we went to the Sky Tree, from which you can see the whole city (which, by the way, never seems to end). In the Asakusa district, there was another shrine (I already know quite a few of them) and the food there was really delicious 👍
In Shinjuku, we also went to the Governmental Building, which has a great view and is especially free! And our best purchase so far: a rain cape (bought in size L just to be safe). Simone and I look particularly sexy with it.
But the biggest adventure so far was climbing Mt. Fuji. One thing I can say upfront: the view was breathtaking! We were really glad to have met two guys on the train who had the same goal. Without them, we wouldn't have made it up so well and quickly. The climb was exhausting, our hut was terrible, the weather was good, and the sunrise was beautiful. In the end, we all made it back down safely, but with the decision: climbing up there once in a lifetime is enough.
Now we are sitting here in a small Western-style restaurant, using the Wi-Fi and soon we will take a look at Lake Kawaguchiko. Then we will take the bus back to Tokyo. Tomorrow our flight to Okinawa will already start. I'm looking forward to palm trees and the sea ⛱.
