Nowhere today do as many Indians live as in Oklahoma. It was the Choctaw Indians who gave this 46th state its name: They referred to the indigenous population as Okla Homa, which means "Red People."

If you're looking for mountains, look elsewhere. In Oklahoma, you won't find any, but the plains offer breathtaking sunsets.

The college football game was crazy. I thought there were a lot of people in the stadium in New Orleans. But it was fascinating to see 10,000 more people at a college game at the University of Oklahoma. Welcome to the wild west, where they shoot into the air and horses pull a horse-drawn carriage across the field after every touchdown or field goal. I was so fascinated, amazed, and couldn't believe my eyes that I got to know a funny local group. Great for me, I had private tour guides all over my stay in Oklahoma.
