Our journey begins... after a long drive, we arrived in Hamburg at our parking space at 1:30 am and fell asleep exhausted.
If you are thinking about sleeping in, you're out of luck, we take the bus at 7:18 am towards the fish market. Our bus driver takes on the role of a tour guide and informs us in the original Hamburg dialect during the ride about everything one should know about Hamburg and its surroundings.
One of our Hamburg highlights was definitely the Old Elbe Tunnel and then the big harbor tour to Blankenese and past the Airbus plant as well as the huge container port and cruise ships.
After so much sightseeing, we wanted some peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the big city and went to Planten und Bloomen, the city park of Hamburg. With somewhat unusually hot weather for Hamburg conditions, the water games at the big lake were a welcome cool-down. All in all, the park is really beautiful and worth a visit. Miniatur WunderlandIn order to make our visit to Hamburg perfect, we visited Miniatur Wunderland in the warehouse district in the evening. It's incredible what this small world in miniature format has to offer. During the visit, you discover something new at every corner and recognize the extreme effort and passion for every little detail.
