Krabi:

19.03-23.03

I stayed in 'Hogwarts Hostel' during my days in Krabi, and the theme was nicely executed. The rooms were named after the characteristics of the Hogwarts houses (wisdom, daring, loyalty, ...)

I arrived on the 19th evening and after chatting with the people in my room, I didn't do much.

On the 20th, after having breakfast at the hostel, I went to the food market which was right around the corner. The rest of the day, I spent looking for accommodations for Bali (my next destination) and planning what to see there. In the evening, I went to the food market with three Canadian guys from my room. It was super fun, and we chatted for almost 2 hours until the lady from their food stall shooed us away.

On Tuesday, the guys left, but not without giving me some series recommendations. I watched a few episodes until Cynthia (whom I met in Chiang Mai) arrived around noon. It was her last day, so we walked around the city and along the river. We got smoothies and ate watermelon. In the evening, I went to an Italian restaurant with Katha and Anja, two girls who were new in my room, and the food was delicious!

On Wednesday, I slept in and after a quick breakfast, I went to a shopping mall. It wasn't anything special, so I didn't stay long. But I did get some delicious food from one of the street food stalls on my way back.

In the afternoon, I chatted with Sophie from my room. She's a huge Harry Potter fan and was really impressed with the hostel's theme. She told me about her 'fan' love and how she has even met Daniel Radcliffe. In the evening, we went around the city and had dinner together.

On Thursday, I woke up at 5 am because my flight to Kuala Lumpur was at 8 am.

The airport there is gigantic. I had a layover of 6 hours before continuing to Bali.

I walked through H&M (with all my luggage, of course) and had a drink at Starbucks. For lunch, I got fries from McDonald's and then wanted to go to the check-in counter - but I couldn't find my flight on the digital display, so I asked, and it turned out that I WAS AT THE WRONG AIRPORT.

I asked how I could get to the right airport, and luckily there was a train that would only take 3 minutes. It took me a while to find the train station (I was sent in the wrong direction twice) but I was happy to almost have it figured out.

I chatted with a Malaysian guy whose niece lives in Frankfurt. And then I got off the train and tried to find my way around.

It took me almost 20 minutes to get from the check-in counter to my gate!

And then, to make things worse, my flight was delayed. Great.

I had some food at the airport before finally sitting at the gate and waiting...

The flight went by quickly thanks to my deep sleep.

At the airport, the hostel owner was already waiting for me with a sign with my name on it.

We drove for about an hour until I arrived at the hostel completely exhausted.
