When the alarm clock rang on Monday morning and we had to hurry not to miss breakfast, we knew that an exciting day had begun. At 8:00 a.m., everyone was standing at the bus stops, eagerly waiting for the bus to pick us all up. We set off towards Hastings City. There, we had a very comprehensive and fun city tour by a mysterious man who seemed to have experienced many adventures, of which he also let us participate. He told us that at the age of 15, he fell down a rock while climbing after 10 meters and broke his leg. Afterwards, we were able to explore Hastings ourselves in small groups. Some went shopping for clothes, others went to the sea, and still others looked for postcards. At 4:00 p.m., we met in front of an inconspicuous house, where we had an unforgettable tea party. This was certainly due to the rather crazy woman who "led" the tea party. At the end of the day, however, everyone returned to their host families, exhausted but chatting away.
