The new Hamburg district of HafenCity already has some impressive architecture to offer. Above all, the Elbphilharmonie, which was inaugurated at the beginning of January 2017. The construction took 7 years longer and was several million euros more expensive than planned. But it is now undisputedly a highlight!
The terraces (Magellan and Marco Polo), which break up the development and on whose steps you can enjoy the relaxed life by the water, especially in summer, are also nice.
The miniature wonderland is a number in itself. So many different worlds and scenes, incredibly detailed. Something is always happening somewhere in the scene. And you can even observe the different times of the day. Impossible to try to see and understand everything in one visit. But it's still worth it!
