After having such an unbelievable time with so much fun and adventures with Daryl at his cabin in the Yukon wilderness we had to go back to 'normal' 😊😊. Ralf needed to get back to Vancouver BC and I also needed to cave ground direction south. So we rode south on the famous Alaskan Highway direction Dawson Creek some 600mls _ 1000km south into British Columbia.

We were warned couple of times of the Bison herds on the road. And yes it was very scary riding just a couple of feet by these massive animals weighing 2. 000lbs and more plus showing no emotions in there face. I much more prefer the encounters with a black bear compared to this experience. But we made it through in o e piece. Going further south we had to stop for some Rocky mountain sheeps on the road to,which made Ralf hear some repeating ' kling _ kling' from his back wheel.

We stopped and checked on it and the outcome was noooo good. A couple of spokes were already lost and others were loose.

After trying to tighten them next to the road _ without success_ we drove lowly to a better stop.

More details on Ralf's blog to this topic so. Here just a short version.

Special bmw tools failed. All the no accessible spokes seem to be not be tightened right. Shame on bmw for a poor job.

Ralf managed to distribute as equal as possible the remaining spokes at a car repair with their tool like 30 out of 40 on the rim.

We had already said good bye but luckily we joined again in the evening and drove slowlyand rechecking the spokes regularly further south into jasper/Banff np together.

The good work horse klr650 carrying most of the load to keep weight from the remaking spokes.

In the NP near Lake Louise our directions eventually split. Ralf went west to Vancouver. I south into Banff NP were I hang out a coue of days. Relaxing, hiking.... And waiting for the road to Radium Springs being opened again after the forest fires slowed down.
