Saturday again _ two weeks have passed since we picked up Gerry at Anchorage Airport.
700 miles my passenger on the KLR. We were overloaded by 120 lbs (50 kg). The good pony still carried us reliably and fast to all places.
Gerry packed his stuff and took his last hike in Alaska _ to the train/bus depot.
Ralf and I took off with a fantastic _ too hot temperature of 28°C to Fairbanks. Having a burger, it happened as it had to happen.
As much as Gerry cannot get enough of hiking, Ralf cannot get enough of riding, and I knew that his thoughts circled around the Arctic Circle in the last hours. I told him that we are here on this trip to do what we like to do. So we split up: he went up to the Dalton Highway to the Arctic Circle and I soaked and relaxed at Chena Hot Springs 😊😊👍. The plan was to meet somewhere on Sunday, latest Monday again.
