What now Part 2

The email from Mr. Kitzmann doesn't really help us. He canceled the rental car and extended the one on Big Island, but we have to take care of the one here on Kauai ourselves. He also inquired about the flights, but can only book them on Monday.

We can't wait with the hotels for that long, it was already difficult to find one yesterday.

Well, then we'll book the hotels we looked at yesterday - but unfortunately, they're all fully booked now.

Now the drama starts all over again.

At some point, it becomes too much for Schahaatz and he goes to the reception. A room with a garden view - not as nice compared to our current room,

but acceptable in terms of price, because there is not much left on the booking portals and it's even more expensive.

You can tell that many people have to replan who had previously planned for Maui or were on Maui and had to leave.

After almost 3 hours, we finally booked the missing accommodations.

It takes another hour to book the helicopter tour.

How many pounds are 1 kg? The maximum weight per passenger for the flight is only 275 lbs. That would be 137.5 kg for us. That fits, we are not that heavy, even with clothes and equipment. Unfortunately, in America, 275 lbs is only 124.78 kg. Good thing we are so light.

In 1778, Captain James Cook set foot on Kauai and discovered Hawaii for the English king and the Western world.

Kauai has the largest coffee plantation in the USA and more pigs than inhabitants.

Now we don't have to do anything anymore and can enjoy the day at the beach and pool with happy hour MaiTai.

Every now and then, a free-range pool chicken runs past us and we wonder how it tastes when grilled?

It was delicious in my Drunken noodles with chicken. Schahaatz's duck hasn't been around the pool yet, but it also tasted good.

From tomorrow onwards, action is on the agenda, then we have rested enough.
