Our wishes for better weather were not heard. In Finland, or at least in Helsinki, where we arrived punctually at 9 o'clock local time, they don't seem to care much about summer - it's pouring buckets all the time. Vero is already afraid that I have to shovel sandbags and pump out the basement again.
Nevertheless, we set out to explore the city center a bit and treated ourselves to a menu at Hesburger (the Finnish equivalent of McDonald's) and now we're having coffee and eating Korvapuusti.
In the picture (from top to bottom) Johan Ludvig Runeberg, the maiden of Finland and Vero.
Soon we will make our way to our apartment and are looking forward to exchanging the floor for a bed. :-)
Greetings from Helsinki to Germany!
