After my two-week break in Germany, I continued to Asia on March 12th. Due to a flight delay in Stockholm, I arrived in Bangkok after a 24-hour journey and was completely exhausted. Therefore, my 'night' in Bangkok was rather relaxed: strolling through the MBK (huge shopping mall), eating Pad Thai at the street food stand, having a mango shake, and ending with a Thai massage, where I almost fell asleep. Then it was back to the hostel for me, showering and then off to bed. Because the next day I continue with a flight to Vietnam :-)
Otherwise, Bangkok is hot, noisy, and stuffy... the air smells like a mixture of exhaust fumes, fried meat, and decaying waste in the heat. No wonder, there are street stalls on every corner selling various meat skewers, crepes, dumplings, or mango. The streets are partly 6-8 lanes filled with scooters and colorful taxis. And the sun shines through the smog at 35 degrees. Nevertheless, I like Bangkok.
