Today we started at 9 o'clock. The plan was to walk to Wildbad Kreuth. No big climbs. But after walking straight ahead for 7 km with a few highlights, of course, it was too boring for us. When we saw a sign for the Wallbergbahn, we went there and took the train up. Very long journey, very steep. The Wallberg is over 1700 m high.
Up there it felt 10 degrees cooler. Great view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains.
From there we walked towards Wildbad Kreuth. First, it was really steep uphill, so we were already at our limit. But even worse was the descent! Quite steep, lots of stones, and without poles 😩. We slipped a few times. Unfortunately, Barbara had a pretty bad fall, she fell on her left hand. And it was unfortunately so intense that we now have to fear that we cannot continue walking.
Despite these circumstances, we walked 30 km in total. We didn't get back until 8 pm and had to eat at the hotel. Not so great.
Now it's time to cross our fingers!
