Imagine you are in a prison. You are not the most pleasant inmate and therefore receive special treatment, such as solitary confinement. Imagine you are in a five square meter room. Only solid concrete surrounds you. There is no window and even the door does not let in any light. Unfortunately, some of the prisoners at Alcatraz had to experience this type of detention. Their method of enduring this ordeal was to throw away and search for a button from their clothing. If successful, the maneuver was repeated until they grew bored.
This was the most lasting impression I took from Alcatraz yesterday. This small island in the bay of San Francisco is full of secrets and there are more myths surrounding this place than there are facts. The trip there was definitely worth it.
But we started the day by driving down Lombard Street by car. I did this several times as there was not much traffic due to the bad weather. After that, we went to the house from the TV series 'Full House'. Then came lunch and right after that, we went to Alcatraz.

In the evening, there was a little highlight on our tour. I had bet with Flo that he could not name all 150 Pokémon from the first season. This aroused his fighting spirit, which unfortunately did not lead to victory. After three hours, several Pokémon songs, and many fits of laughter, he correctly knew 138 names. However, this was not enough to win the bet, so I'm looking forward to my beer tonight.
Ultimately, the bet was the reason why I am only writing this now. See you in a few hours.
