China Trip Part 2 - Guilin

After Guangzhou, we continued to Guilin. Here, I took a tour to the rice terraces in Dangzhai for a day, because I really wanted to go there. Unfortunately, the weather was not great and the season for the rice terraces started a few days later, so everything was still 'empty and dried up', but it was still beautiful!!! :)

However, the signage and the paths were once again inadequate, so I was really grateful that an American who spoke a little bit of Chinese was with me, otherwise I would have gotten lost. After wandering around for about 5 hours, we finally found the parking lot where we were picked up, just in time.

The next day, the weather was even worse and it was raining, so I spent the morning chilling with someone from my hostel in my room. But then we finally got up and walked through the city in the rain with flip-flops and umbrellas to see a few things. Unfortunately, everything looked only half as nice. In any case, Guilin was already an improvement compared to Guangzhou but the best was yet to come ;)
