Arriving at the hostel in Tulum, I got to know a few people in the evening while enjoying free Caipirinhas from 7-8pm ;).
It all ended with us wanting to go to a party on the beach. After most people had already left, I followed with someone from Holland in a taxi, only to realize that the party was already over and we had to walk along the beach to get to another one. However, at another bar, we were told that the only open bar was 2km away, but we were able to ride with a couple in their car. However, the bar turned out to be disappointing, so we soon went back to the hostel.
The next day, I went to the ruins of Tulum with Ela from Germany, who was volunteering at the hostel. However, after seeing several other ruins, they didn't stand out so much. So we spent the rest of the day at the beach.
A little cat that was found made our evening more enjoyable, even though it was not yet clear what to do with her. After several discussions, we were assured that she would be taken care of and not killed, as was initially said.
Later in the evening, we went to 2 bars in Tulum, but they didn't turn out to be very good either. Nevertheless, the next day, we were all a bit tired, so everyone preferred to have a cozy day at the hostel. In the evening, I decided to skip the party (thankfully), as I was probably the only one who was somewhat rested in the morning. So I took the bus to Bacalar in the afternoon, realizing that I had had enough of parties.
