From the breakfast table, I can see a long piece of wood floating in the sea next to the water bungalows. I joke that it could be a water bungalow leg!?
The family laughs at me, saying it's just driftwood.
After breakfast and daily temperature measurement, we walk past the feeding place of the budgerigars and actually see a green budgie sitting in the large millet bowl. Shortly afterwards, more budgies fly off. In the end, there are about 10 budgerigars (one blue) sitting in the millet bowl, pecking and chirping.Next to the tree, one of the 'little dragons', as we named the lizards, is sitting again.
On the dock of the water bungalows, some hotel employees and a security man are standing. It turns out that the 'driftwood' is actually part of the old water bungalows or the dock. The employees fish the log out of the water and carry it away, then they walk along the water bungalows dock and check everything. It turns out to be an old pillar, where a new one has already been installed next to it, but some old pillars were simply left standing in the water
So: all clear, everything is safe!
At the diving platform, palm fronds / building materials for new palm roofs are being delivered.
I'm skipping snorkeling today. The visibility is not so great, and since I burned my legs yesterday despite SPF 50 sunscreen, I'm taking it easy and splashing around in the lagoon with my son.
It's unusually empty at lunchtime. It seems like most of the Russians have left. We're almost alone at lunch. Saturday seems to be the arrival and departure day for many holidaymakers.
View from our spotAfter lunch, I take some pictures of the resort.
My son wants to test the infinity pool, so we go to the pool after jumping on waves. But we don't really like it. The water is too warm and looks a bit murky. The big bathtub is nicer - my son thinks so too.
There are a lot of crabs sitting on the wall
We continue to the beach area between the pool and Bungalow 128
Before dinner, we sit on the beach and watch the many crabs scurrying around and the hermit crabs having a big party in front of our foot water bowl at the bungalow. Do they want to get to the fresh water?
Two 'chickens', some island birds that sound like alarm systems when they 'whistle', visit our bungalow terrace. They groom themselves, quickly bathe in our foot bath bowl, and disappear into the bushes.
After having white wine for dinner, I switch to rosé wine today. Yummy.
The dessert is particularly delicious today. It's a 'hot chocolate pudding', but it tastes more like very fresh soft cake. Yummy 😉
After the obligatory card games at the bar, we fall into bed. It's hard to believe how tired you can be in the evening from 'doing nothing' 🤭
We watch the impressive starry sky before going to bed and count the shooting stars 💫
