Stage 5: Friendship goals at Lake Como

Our journey continues to be shaped by lake love: on June 14, 2022, we will drive from Vada to Lake Como, where we will visit friends of ours on vacation. We drive a wonderful route along Lake Como and from Varenna, we take a steep curvy road to the small village of Regoledo. Here, we can enjoy the sun in the beautiful pool of Lea, Philipp, and Ilaria's vacation apartment and have a delicious dinner on the terrace.

Our parking space for the night is a small parking lot with a fantastic view over Lake Como, right in Regoledo.

The next day, we start painting the front doors of our drawers in the morning. Then, with Lea, Philipp, and Ilaria, we embark on a plan-less hike in the middle of the midday heat, with the wrong equipment, little water, and heavy heads from the wine-heavy previous evening... It's all uphill, mainly through dense vegetation without a view, but in the shade. Upon reaching Albiga (which consists of 2 houses), we decide it's better to start the descent again. After a pretty exhausting hike, everyone quickly needs something in their stomach, and then we continue to Varenna. Our destination: the harbor. Here, we have reserved a small motorboat for two hours. And what should we say? A fantastic idea! There is almost no one else on the lake, and we can go wherever we want, jump into the cool water, and lie in the sun a bit - we think we have earned that after the "demanding" hike ;) Fortunately, after some waiting in the evening, we also manage to get a table in a restaurant in the sweet streets of Varenna and have a good time. After exchanging the 10,000 pictures of the day, we fall into bed very tired.

Tomorrow, we will continue towards home: we have to take care of our love for Lake Constance :)
