The night was a nightmare for me. It was pouring rain and the roof of the shelter was leaking, causing it to drip on my sleeping bag. Luckily, the outer material is water-resistant, so the lining stayed relatively dry. I kept changing my position in the shelter until I squeezed myself onto the thin bench in the cabin, where I spent the rest of the night. I woke up slightly chilly the next morning and hung my things in the shelter to dry.
I spent my day reading, exploring, and having conversations with strangers who passed by my camp. I made myself tea and food and this time set up my hammock. I went to sleep relatively relaxed and warm.
