After a 20-hour journey with a layover in Dubai, I have finally arrived at the first destination of my trip. The pearl between the Atlantic and Indian Ocean - Cape Town.
For the first three days, I am staying in beautiful Camps Bay, where the rich and beautiful dwell - and me. Fortunately, I am currently outside of the tourist season, so I can afford to stay in a beautiful room almost right by the sea with my travel budget.
Weather-wise, the adjustment is not difficult at all. 17°C and wind strongly reminds me of my wet and wild homeland. Swimming is also not really an option here. However, the Atlantic with its 12°C water temperature would be a more reasonable alternative to the Great White Sharks in the Indian Ocean.
There is not really much to do other than look at the sea and explain to the South Africans that I do not want to buy any pictures today, so I will have a relaxed day before going to Cape Town's landmark, Table Mountain, tomorrow.
