Unfortunately, this night was like the first one. Noisy and uncomfortable. After having breakfast, we wanted to explore the city.
To our regret, we have to realize that there is not much to see here in Miami itself. Many streets with palm trees, expensive cars, and that's it.
Most of the time, we were busy looking for shade. Apparently, it's supposed to be "only" 30 degrees here. However, it's almost unbearable in the sun.
We walked through the Art Deco District, which looks very rundown. Not like in all the pictures, beautiful and colorful. The South Beach is beautiful but totally overcrowded.
However, we found a building that we think we recognized from an episode of CSI Miami.
We then had a small snack at Call me Gaby. A chic little Italian restaurant with very friendly staff. However, they do not accept coins here, so you always have to round up to the next dollar. Not very nice...
But what's great is that there is a free bus. The Miami Beach Trolley runs around North and South Beach. With one transfer, you can explore the island or change the beach.
Because of the heat, we went back to the hotel in the afternoon and enjoyed the evening with a cool beer on the balcony.
