It's Saturday, July 29th. We're sitting at the airport in Orlando, about to fly to Charlottesville. The week in Port Richey wasn't very exciting, but it was a good introduction to the USA. We had time to relax, plan our trip, and figure out how to travel cheaply through the states. Three days ago we came to Orlando. And only for one reason: the Universal Studios. We booked an AirBnB room near the theme park and spent the last two days from morning to evening in its different worlds. They were two very special days. In the blazing heat of the Florida sun, we immersed ourselves in different movie sets. We ate giant donuts with Homer Simpson in Springfield, went on a mission with the Transformers, fought aliens with the MiB, rode with Jimmy Fallon through New York, were transformed into Minions for a short time, rode bikes through the air with E.T., and observed dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Besides all the different theme worlds, roller coasters, cinemas, and attractions, one thing left a particularly strong impression: the incredibly diverse and detailed world of Harry Potter. We walked through Hogsmeade, drank butterbeer, looked at wands at Olivanders, walked through Diagon Alley, talked to goblins, stood at Platform 9 3/4, and rode the Hogwarts Express. And that's just a small glimpse of the huge variety of the 'Harry Potter' world. Despite scorching heat and stormy rain showers, we had two incredibly exciting days here!
