So yesterday it was just under an hour to the ferry and then 5 hours across the water in calm weather. The start was exceptionally sunny. On arrival then so foggy rain and around 14 degrees. It doesn't get much cooler at night either.
But I was looking forward to the campsite, because you can see the waves hitting the rocks directly. So I wanted to hear it when I fell asleep, but unfortunately nothing came of it because the wind got stronger and stupidly hit the broadside of the car and roof tent. It rocked almost more than on the ferry (which I would have been on if the wind was down). After various conversions, my place in the car was contested around 2 and I moved to Moritz's roof tent. After all the rattling parts were fixed here, too, one could even sleep at some point. But I woke up again from half past six and then pushed back a side wall until around eight, which I was really worried about tearing. Then Moritz was woken up and the tent retracted.
But then the children enjoyed the wind and the waves and in the evening it should calm down a bit. So we stayed.
Certainly due to the lack of sleep, Monique had a bit of bad luck today. First she wanted to cross a river on the beach and then she didn't jump but ran in full force and then she booked a house on the next island for tomorrow. Unfortunately, when we wanted to add the crossing, there was only one place available the day after tomorrow. However, when we had our plan for the situation ready, the host of the house canceled, so we got rid of the problem and stayed here for another 2 nights.
The car is now turned into the wind, the mattress from the roof tent is completely dry again and the wind is a little weaker (gusts are only 44 and falling, instead of 61 km/h like this morning). We hope today it will be something with sleeping.
