Tag 4.1: St Ives - Zennor

Since we were staying one more night at the hostel in St Ives, we could sleep in today and take it easy. For breakfast, we treated ourselves to a beloved pasty and discovered a perfect picnic location next to a church. 😍 Life can be so beautiful...

The narrow streets of St Ives tempted us to take a stroll, and so we set off around St Ives Head peninsula to the north side of the beautiful town. There is the large Porthmeor Sands Beach and also the Tate Gallery.

Leaving St Ives, the path was still paved, and the view back to the beautiful St Ives was always nice. 📷😍

The stage today was described as particularly challenging in all sources, which surprised me a lot, considering it was only 10km long and had no excessive inclines. But it didn't take long to understand why: the path became rockier and in many sections it was more climbing than hiking due to the increasingly large boulders. The stairs and inclines were not easy either. But as is often the case when hiking - we were rewarded with stunning landscapes. Just us and nature! The Trevalgan Stone Circle was located halfway along the route.

When we finally saw Zennor Head in front of us, we had no idea that the worst part was still ahead. 🙈 An seemingly endless field of debris with huge boulders...

But finally, we arrived in Zennor. Of course, we were particularly looking forward to the Tinners Arms pub. Unfortunately, there was no food available. But a friendly driver (the first one who passed by us!) took us back to St Ives, where we treated ourselves to a dinner at the Thai restaurant.
