2019 - September - Paris - Atelier des Lumières

Հրատարակվել է: 21.09.2019

The most enchanting place of our trip to Paris was the Atelier des Lumières. There is an exhibition there that is unparalleled.

Perhaps you may have an idea of what it could be about if you think about the name. Well, I'll tell you: The Lumière brothers invented cinema over 120 years ago.

So now, in 2019, with better technology in terms of film, animation, and sound, installations like this can be created at the Atelier des Lumières. I took some photos, but you really have to experience it for yourself.

Suddenly, images of Vincent van Gogh come to life and they are accompanied by music such as Smetana's 'The Moldau' or Janis Joplin's 'Kozmic Blues'. The multimedia event captivates both art lovers and so-called philistines. I admit, I belong more to the second category. But here, I was so fascinated and captivated in the moment that I got goosebumps and even shed a tear.

By the way, this installation with van Gogh's works will only be available until the end of 2019. Last year, something similar was shown with Gustav Klimt's works. I can only hope that another artist will be chosen for 2020.

We want to go back to Paris and then we would have one more reason to do so.
