In the center of the Costa Smeralda

Since our hotel Rocce Sarde is very close by, we could not resist driving to the center of Costa Smeralda - Porto Cervo. This harbor is known for the yachts of the rich and beautiful, each with a crowd of staff. These gigantic private yachts have 3 or 4 floors and tower like skyscrapers over the water. The children were impressed by the luxury and slightly disappointed that Heidi Klum or Brad Pitt were not strutting around there.

One exclusive bar after another lines the harbor and at Piazza there is Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton.

After an overpriced ice cream, we headed to one of the many beaches - today it was Capriccioli, where party music blared from the exclusive beach bar and the young hip people took plenty of selfies on the beach.
