Today we're going on a boat trip to Milford Sound. My breakfast consists only of toast, coffee, tea, and a Vomex-Retard. Hopefully it helps!!!
The weather is good and we're lucky again. We drive about 2.5 hours to the sea in the fjord landscape, which is very impressive.
Milford Sound is one of the biggest attractions in New Zealand. On this 'cozy' boat trip through this unique fjord, we experience nature and wildlife up close: spectacular waterfalls, steep rocky walls, and we learn interesting details about the geological formation of the region.
We immediately settle down in the open air on the ship and then the ride through the fjord begins. Thanks to Vomex, I can enjoy the ride, the waterfalls, the towering cliffs, and the sunbathing sea lions. Even the stormy sea at the end of the fjord doesn't bother me - yippee! After about 3 hours, we're back and have a snack there in the hall. Meanwhile, fog has come up and it's starting to rain.
On the way back, we see Kia's begging in traffic jam in front of the tunnel, but feeding is forbidden!
On the way, we still want to visit the Hmboldt Waterfall. As soon as we get out, we are attacked and stung by sandflies. So we skip the walk, visit an old suspension bridge, and slowly drive back.
Today I have a delicious fish bao for me and a Bambi bao with venison for Reinhard.
