Around 7 o'clock we drive quite tired from the ferry... Originally we wanted to drive along the west coast towards Elaia/Kyparissa, where there should be a great parking space on the beach. For several days we have been watching various weather apps, all of which predict severe weather and storms for this region until the end of the week, so we change our plan and first drive to Corinth. There we admire the ancient ruins, inspect everything in detail and are very impressed by how developed the Corinthians were. And if you're wondering where the term "Korinthenkacker" comes from, it comes from right here!

We continue to the Corinth Canal... I feel a little strange when I stand in the middle of the bridge and look about 80 meters down. a few meters below us is a platform from which you can do a bungee jump. We watch a group of "chickens" (as Martin says) who daringly plunge into the depths one after the other, each time accompanied by the excited screams of the rest of the poultry...

Before the entrance to the canal, there are some ships hanging around and we wonder why no ship is passing through until we learn that the canal is closed for repairs until 01.06.

Approximately 60 km below Corinth we find a beautiful campsite in Panagia (Camping Bekas) and even get a pitch with a sea view. Martin grills and after dinner we take a walk along the road and find a small restaurant with a beach bar next to a hotel, where we have a nightcap. Served with it are salted carrot and cucumber sticks, probably to quench the thirst a little more. In the pitch dark we stumble back to the campsite (in Greece it gets dark early, that doesn't mean we were out very late!).
