13th stage from Santillana del Mar to Comillas

Fantastically slept......

Only the alarm clock woke me up from my dreams. No snorers, no smell ( ... I smell good, you know!) and a pleasant silence. The cafes for breakfast do not open until 09:00 am here, so should I just stay in bed? ------- Can't, somehow I got into a rhythm that my body says: 'Get up, let's keep going.'

Then I have breakfast on the way. As agreed, I leave the key downstairs at the empty reception, and my eyes fall on a small coffee machine. For 50 cents, a cafe con leche strengthens me. The day starts well again.

On the way, I meet the friendly elderly couple from France again, who are walking the Camino together; my thoughts are with Monika; the next 'adventure' only with her.

At around 09:00 am, I reach a small cafe and have a delicious breakfast, yes..... of course with a Cortado.

For those who say, now he has photographed a bull again, yes, you are right. I do that for my friend Tom; I think he collects such pictures.

It's raining and I get out my umbrella, no, not the one I bought specially for the tour, no, the one from my trusted street vendor from Bilbao. I can't part with it and the other one is 'for good'. I am the son of Grandma Lisa, and that's good.

Today is Monday; my life plan was to start the week at the bank with my great team and talk about the weekend experiences during my 'lunch round'........it turned out differently, and that's good too now.

I'm doing well!

I still have time for a stroll in the city. Just a quick look in the supermarket, to the hostel to freshen up and now off to dinner.
