On the tiny island paradise of Tuvalu, only about 11,000 people live on a total land area of 26 square kilometers. The capital is the atoll of Funafuti. Here is also the country's only airport. Strictly speaking, it is the gathering and entertainment place for the inhabitants, because it is the largest contiguous area on the island and is only cleared when there is air traffic. However, this does not happen very often here. We have arrived at our accommodation and asked what we can do here. We have also done a lot of research on the internet, but we haven't really found anything. Well ... the employee also thought for a long time and she could not think of anything. So we rented a motorcycle for a day and drove along the island road from one end to the other. We had already done that in an hour (with photo stops) and we really didn't find anything to do. So we wanted to send some postcards from the other end of the world and went to the island's post office. Very interesting. Here there is a huge selection of special stamps with the most diverse motifs. Back at the accommodation, we let off some steam in the kitchen again. We found a fisherman with a freshly caught yellowfin tuna, from which we made delicious sashimi.
