Hong Kong and Macau

Hello,

this is the last blog entry from my China trip, I'm almost home but the blog should be complete 😊 Hong Kong was super cool, quite expensive and there was a lot going on, especially on weekends there were people everywhere, it was really intense 😅 and there were just too many shopping opportunities. Most of the stores were above my price range but there were also enough regular stores. But I've never seen so many luxury stores so densely packed in one city in my life... We went to the Victoria Peak with an old tram and explored the mountain top on foot. The view was really special, I especially liked the view of the islands. The city with its many high-rise buildings and skyscrapers is fascinating, but actually not so beautiful when you look closely... But the overall picture is really impressive. You have to see it 😊 Finally, we managed to watch a sunset on the Sky100 building again, if I'm not mistaken, it is currently the 10th tallest building in the world... One day we took the ferry to Macau, it was a great trip because the weather was great and it was really interesting to see Macau. It's a 'small, Asian' Las Vegas with Portuguese roots (languages spoken there: Chinese, Portuguese, and English) and it has the largest casino in the world, of course we also tried our luck there but since we have no clue about gambling, we failed pretty miserably at the slot machine 😂 but it was very funny. The mega buildings and hotels there are just impressive. From the inside as well as from the outside. Since we took a bus tour, we also saw the old nondescript buildings of Macau, which was a real contrast. In the evening, we celebrated Janina's birthday in a rooftop bar, it was quite classy but worth it 🍹🏙️🎉

On our last day, we spent the rest of our money and had delicious burgers and then started the long journey home... Everything went well until Zurich, but then there was a cancellation of the connecting flight and delays, which is why we flew via Berlin to Stuttgart and will now arrive in Stuttgart 12 hours later... Well, it was still an amazing time in Hong Kong and China 😊
