This morning we were standing at the bus stop on time and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for our bus, the bus didn't come for half an hour. So we decided to walk instead. We were one block away and who came? The bus! That's karma for you! The normal 50-minute walk, we managed it in just 30 minutes.
So we were able to have breakfast and still got our ship to Alcatraz on time. When we arrived on the island, we followed in the footsteps of Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone:
Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone ( January 17, 1899, in Brooklyn, New York City; January 25, 1947, in Palm Island, Florida) was an American mobster and one of the most notorious criminals in America in the 1920s and 1930s. Capone controlled the Chicago underworld as the boss of the "Chicago Outfit" and conducted his business mainly through illegal gambling, prostitution, extortion, and illegal alcohol trade during the Prohibition era. His name is still associated with money laundering, as he was the first to invest illegal earnings in laundromats and this method of concealment became a role model for many tax evaders and fraudsters.

After returning from the island, we strolled along the pier, saw some seals
and finally returned to the hotel.
