Life is better with sand between your toes...

This morning I had to take a closer look at this cool new harbor district called "Aarhus Ø" with my own eyes. Really, really awesome! 😎 How nice would it be to live in one of these architectural wonders and overlook the entire harbor basin from the balcony? Right across, the AIDA was just anchored and a few fearless people were actually swimming at the bathing spot in sunny 14 degrees 🥶. A look at the real estate agency posters confirmed what was expected: no poor people live here. You have to invest at least half a million euros for a (smaller) apartment. We definitely have to come back when everything is finished!

But first, off to the sea!! Opinions on the car beaches on Denmark's North Sea coast can be divided. This is a polarizing topic. I love them! Driving straight onto the beach with the motorhome, unpacking the camping chairs, having the refrigerator and toilet in close proximity, that's pure luxury in my opinion!!

Our cats were not comfortable with the thundering waves, the wind... they quickly went back into the motorhome.

Then I dared to put my feet in the water and was surprised: the sand and the water were not cold at all! If it weren't for the cold wind, I might have ventured all the way in.

The day was truly wonderful! ☀️ I can't imagine anything more relaxing than the sound of the ocean, the salty air,... and a good book.

We are staying overnight at the Grønhøj-Strand-Camping campsite, which only costs us €21 with the ACSI Camping Card and is less than 1 km away from the beach - perfect! We will stay here until the day after tomorrow. ☺️

At the end of the day, we removed a tick from our cat's ear. We didn't know until today that these damn creatures also come in white - which doesn't make things any easier with cats with light fur 🙀
