After breakfast, we continued our journey towards Austria and arrived at Achensee after about 4.5 hours. In Munich, Luca switched to the boss seat (passenger seat) and didn't want to miss the first view of the Alps. Every 5 minutes, he reminded us by asking when the mountains would finally come 😂 When the time came, his eyes widened. We looked for our pitch right by the turquoise-blue lake, and the view with the backdrop of the Alps is breathtaking. We will stay here for the next 3 nights. The campsite owner charges a princely sum for this panoramic view. While the pitch at Mohrenhof cost only 21 € per night, it's over 40 € here, including electricity and tourist tax.
This morning, while jogging by the lake, I discovered the Wusel-Seeweg, where children can complete 10 sections of a 4 km hike and stamp a missing letter for the solution word each time. Luca was thrilled, Ela and I used the path to take a lovely stroll by the lake. Luca handled it all easily, of course. On the way back, it started raining heavily. Overall, the weather is changeable. Quite cold in the evenings. In the afternoon, we drove a total of 12 km to the nearest Spar and now we're pretty tired.
The atmosphere here is much quieter than at Mohrenhof, which seems to be a family-only campsite. We will now end the day and sleep well.
