Bremen....is very versatile. This time we're going to the countryside đ±
This time I'm going to the Rhododendron Park. The tram ride is already exciting and romantic at the same time. Passing by beautifully decorated art nouveau houses from the 1920s, you can already imagine what's coming: a romantically dreamy day in this flower-covered park.
The people of Bremen are very friendly, so I've already received many recommendations and tips along the way. I decide to go to the main entrance and after a small lake and streams, I'm in the first separated area of medicinal plants and useful plants. The scent of flowers overwhelms me and I can't get enough of the many flowers and colors. Flower Power!!! All of this is crowned by a stream with a mini waterfall that you can even wade through on stones.
From there you can get everywhere easily, everything is well signposted. A seating area in a separate area with small blue wooden houses, where you can sit comfortably, offers an opportunity for a break.
There is also a panoramic path, the oldest part, namely the rhododendron forest with old huge trees, as well as the azalea grove. Blooms in bright colors like purple, summery pink. In between, small stream runners on which the fallen blooms float. It reminds me partly of the paintings of Claude Monet. And indeed, you can also find lakes with water lilies in between.
Only a little light can penetrate, and on the warm sunny summer morning, there are very different reflections of light, and everything looks fresh and smells of fresh earth, sun, summer, and flowers. It's early summer and the vibe you get here makes you look forward to the whole summer that lies ahead.
In June, there are already many blooms on the water and on the ground, in May it is in full bloom.
Soon the hall will be expanded, a good reason to come back soon.
