The Slovenian Pre-Alps

The weather forecast last evening gave cause for concern. Heavy thunderstorms were predicted. Thank goodness they narrowly missed us. However, there was a brief thunderstorm with a little rain around 02:00 a.m.

After a good breakfast, we asked for the bill. The campsite for 2 tents and two people, 5 beers, and two coffees cost €88.50. Quite outrageous. The place wasn't really that great to justify this price.

We then started quite late. It was just like yesterday. A highlight was the view of the Slovenian and Italian lowlands, all the way to the Mediterranean, which was still kilometers away from this point. In the mountains and forests, we had temperatures of 22 degrees Celsius in bright sunshine. In the valleys, it was a summery 32 degrees Celsius.

Slovenia is a great motorbike area and doesn't need to hide behind Italy and Austria.

This afternoon, we decided to get a hotel room, sometimes it's necessary to not fuss around with the tent 🏕 and everything that comes with it.

We ended the evening in a restaurant, enjoying good food, beer, Radler, and Slivovitz.

Tomorrow, we will continue towards Croatia.
