We had to work hard for the parking space at DEN! 🥴

We made it to the nearest national park yesterday and found a spot by the lake in sunny weather. Before we could finally cook and enjoy the evening after the drive, we tried to find the supposedly best parking space – but that didn't work out because the ground (partly loose gravel) wasn't suitable for our van and we got stuck! 😵‍💫

At first, we tried to get out ourselves, but the longer we tried, the more hopeless it became 🫣 But we were lucky in our misfortune: a family, also traveling with vans, saw our plight and came with a shovel to help us get out 😮‍💨 After a good half an hour, we made it: Otto was free again 😅

We were still exhausted that evening.. As a little compensation, we later got to enjoy a beautiful sunset, and luckily, we didn't have anything planned for the next day besides work. So today was all about relaxing, enjoying the sunshine, taking long walks along the lake, and appreciating the solid ground beneath our van 💛
