San Francisco / Los Angeles đŸ‡ș🇾

Here we go again!

After two weeks in Koh Lanta, maximum relaxation, and three days in Bielefeld where the apartment was finally set up, we are now heading to Frankfurt -> San Francisco.

The flight is easy and United Airlines is surprisingly not a budget airline, but really good!

I will keep it relatively short about the last 5 days. The route was with a spontaneously rented car, in which we also slept: from San Francisco -> Santa Barbara -> Santa Monica -> Los Angeles.

SFO is a really great city and Highway 1 is a beautiful route that meanders along the Pacific coast through various beautiful nature. The rest is nice to look at, but nothing that blows me away.

Instead, two topics occupy my mind.

The masses of seemingly Mexicans who do construction work, cleaning, and other jobs from San Francisco to Beverly Hills. And I really wonder: what will happen if these ladies and gentlemen stop working once the wall is built? America is screwed without them!

And the number of homeless people, for whom there is no age range, no ethnic background, or other characteristics. There are simply many! In both cases, as we were expressly told on the really good free walking tour, just treat people with respect because it can happen to anyone, rents have skyrocketed in no time and are simply unaffordable for many.

Terrible, especially the gap between rich and poor here.

Regarding the tour itself, except for San Francisco, there is nothing major that I must see on the route, at least for my taste. Especially LA is similar to Miami, more of a myth.

If I feel like it, I'll add a few more sentences, otherwise enjoy the photos.

PS: We are going to Mexico, still 14 hours at the airport in León and we’ll be there!
