2 day trip to phi phi.
Now that all the familiar faces are leaving and the guys I've spent most of my time with are heading to phi phi to celebrate Matthew's birthday, I've also decided to take a little look at phi phi.
So, six people, three from Canada, one from Italy, one from Australia, and me, take the ferry to phi phi, the price for one way is about €5.50.
Arriving in phi phi, go to the hostel, drop off clothes, acclimate briefly, and head to view point, I estimate 200 meters in elevation and 300 steps, over 30 degrees, incredible view, still paradise here, coincidentally we are there just in time for the sunset. It's going well!
It gets dark, so party on the beach, what's going on here is hard to describe, there is one bar after another on about 600 meters of beach, which, I believe, are trying to outdo each other in playing louder music!
Here you can see limbo, jump rope, fire shows, hardcore techno, disgusting buckets to drink from, pretty crazy people and I don't know what else, there's a lot to see. So, that's what we're going to do now. I hope the photos load.
Next morning, no one really knows who they are and what has happened, after about three hours of discussion about whether we should do an island tour or not, everyone ends up except one person.
Cool day! Snorkeling, kayaking, swimming with plankton, looking at monkeys, and finally getting a glimpse of Maya Bay (400 baht tax, logically we stay on board the ship, or swim). Great tour, the right decision. Although while snorkeling, I drank about 3 liters of water from shock due to a sea snake.
Evening, everyone is pretty lame, Same as Last Night...
10:20, I wake up. The same time that Malte is supposed to arrive. Therefore: brush teeth, pack bags, say goodbye to the guys. And it went as fast as I haven't experienced in the past two weeks.
Met Malte, back in lanta. Check. ✅
