Götakanal Sweden

Today we are already heading back to Stockholm on our journey, we decide to leave early as we still want to visit two locks. We go down the Hammersundet to Motala, Linköping, Norrköping, up to Strängnäs, via Enköping to Stockholm. Our first coffee break we made in Motala, where we were able to watch ships again in the beautiful but very windy weather, as they glide through the lock into Lake Vättern. We visited the nostalgic Motala Hotel, where you can also visit a bicycle museum (admission fee). We continue our drive past beautiful fields towards Berg lock. This is one of the largest lock facilities, like all of them, wonderfully well-kept facilities, nice cafes, took a walk along the locks. Then we head towards Stockholm so that we can return our car on time. We end the early evening with a fine dinner, a game of cards, and the next day we fly back to Switzerland with a lot of beautiful pictures.
