First a trip to the Otakou Peninsula, encounter with many seagulls which nest and breed there, looked somewhat like in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds.
Later on another visual highlight created by nature: Tunnel Beach. However, the name did not originate from the tunnel in the rock, but from the fact that you have to walk to the beach through an artificial tunnel. The way there is somewhat reminiscent of alpine hiking, but it is an absolute must-see.
In the afternoon, a small stroll through the beautiful city of Dunedin, the train station is said to be the most beautiful in the world, you don't have to disagree.
Finally, a visit to the long sandy beach of St. Clair with a shark alarm bell.
