Tag 42: Ayutthaya

We had enough of Bangkok and headed north. Specifically, back to Ayutthaya. During the two-hour train ride, we learned that this route is currently being expanded by a high-speed rail line, and in three years it will only take 15 minutes. It's a pity, because this train ride north of Bangkok is very authentic.

Arriving in Ayutthaya, we checked into the hostel as the only guests for the day. Since I had been here before, I was basically appointed as the tour guide. We visited the same temples with Kathrin in similar heat as back then. It was really interesting to see the same temples again, as this time I could focus more on searching for details and still discovered new things.

In the evening, we bought our dinner at the supermarket and had a relaxed evening at the hostel.
