Since I noticed that it gets really hot here during the day, I want to schedule my outdoor activities in the morning and evening. This way, I can also avoid the morning hustle in the hostel. I already wake up at 7 and go for a jog, followed by a swim. This time, I am going along the coastline. However, there is already quite a lot of tourist activity there due to the ferries, and it takes me a bit longer to find a nice spot on the beach away from the city.
On the way back, I make a small detour to a café because hunger catches up with me. Despite the touristy-looking café right at the harbor, I am pleasantly surprised by my delicious and affordable fitness breakfast :)
Back at the hostel around 12, I have enough space to get ready in peace since everyone is already gone at this time. So, my plan worked ;) I cook myself a delicious wrap with avocado and basically chill the whole day.
At 4 pm, I meet again with my lovely roommate, Chloe from Australia. She accompanies me later to walk to the fortress for sunset. Spontaneously, Franco and Ese from Argentina, and Tijey from the USA join us too. Although we can't see the sunset well due to the clouds, the view over Hvar and the sea is breathtaking. And I am glad that yesterday I turned back before the entrance of Fortica and now can visit the fortress in company.
In the evening, Chloe and I go for dinner in a nice restaurant where she has been twice before. The waiter already has his eye on her, and we get a starter and a digestive on the house. The portions are not too big for the price, but the ambiance is worth it. I find it quite sad that Chloe is leaving tomorrow because we have a lot in common, and it's really interesting to talk to her.
In anticipation of going with the other hostel people for a pub crawl this evening, I bought a bottle of wine in the morning, which I shared with Chloe. The evening is super fun, I meet a lot of people, and we party until late at night. Even though I only come back to the hostel at 4 am, together with Pearl and Bella, two Australians, I am the very first one from our room to come back :D
