My last day in Iceland

Magnus arranged for me to ride to Reykjavik this morning with a friend instead of taking the bus. He then brought me to the meeting point and everything went smoothly. Even my Icelandic friends didn't notice that I was gone until this afternoon. Those slowpokes.... But Nora woke up early and even Olaf said goodbye.

So I had the whole day to explore the capital of Iceland. The city is young, great, and beautiful but somehow there are way too many people, cars, buildings, and civilization here. No silence, no vastness - strange.... The tea at the café was great but somehow unsatisfying. Actually, I can't take anyone here seriously at the moment. On the one hand, the city is really interesting but on the other hand, I feel like an outsider. My guesthouse is okay - just very noisy.... But right now I'm sitting on the mini balcony and there is live music coming from the pub nearby... Not bad at all and they're playing really nice cover songs.... I think I'll just sit here tonight.....
