Pizarral is a locality and a municipality in the southeast of the province of Salamanca, in Castilla and León (Spain, Europe). It is part of the Guijuelo Region and the Salvatierra subregion. It belongs to the Béjar judicial district, which is the judicial district no. 4 of the province of Salamanca, and it is also part of the municipal associations of Pantano de Santa Teresa and Guijuelo and its surroundings.
According to data from INE for the year 2023, it has a population of 60 inhabitants and an area of 16.67 km². The municipality of Pizarral is divided between the village of Pizarral (the municipal capital) and the depopulated area of Torozos, located to the north of the municipal term within a separate territorial enclave.
The beautiful parish church of Pizarral is dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel; it was built in the 16th century and is in the Salmantine Romanesque style. The patron saint of Pizarral is the Virgin of the Rosary; and its patronal festivities, in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary, are celebrated around October 7. Additionally, the Feast of Saint Barbara (known as the December festivities) is also celebrated around December 4.
