After visiting The Hague and Amsterdam, I have been cycling through the beautiful landscapes of North Frisia for two days with sunshine and a tailwind. I almost flew over the IJsselmeer Dam with a strong tailwind... I felt a bit sorry for the cyclists coming in the opposite direction.
Under such conditions, it's just fun to ride through the villages. Agriculture as far as the eye can see, tractors with running engines and pumping water into the irrigation systems can be found in many corners. It's too late for some fields, the prolonged drought has also led to a meager harvest in Holland. The sandy beaches are hardly present here, but there are more cycling tourists than before.
