Bridal Veil Waterfalls & Hamilton Backyard Lavender Farm

Bridal Veil Falls was our first stop. We were amazed by the beautiful high waterfall. E always finds waterfalls very exciting to look at. It totally reminded me of the beautiful waterfall with the basalt columns from Iceland.

In Hamilton we took our lunch break at the Lavender Backyard Farm and then I finally got to wander through lavender fields. Check. Ever since my semester abroad in Marseille, I've finally wanted that wooo. There was blueberry ice cream for everyone and a blueberry muffin for me ;) and lavender soap for Benny.

Then we drove to our campsite for the night as today was laundry day. The laundry was dry exactly until bedtime - yes.

We are on a beautiful lake with very clean bathrooms and a great kitchen where I can also bake cookies in the oven for Emilia.

I realize how lucky we are to be here. We've been saying for a few years that when we're on maternity leave we'll travel to New Zealand and now it's actually true - that's so cool.
